- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District has a requirement to purchase two (2) new all welded steel work vessels to be used for inland navigation support system on the Ohio River. The vessels are intended to be an all-seasons support vessels for operations in and around the lock and dam. It shall have good speed for response, good handling characteristics and exceptional stability for missions and maintenance activities. The hull shall be approximately 53-feet in length and 15-feet in width and shall be equipped with a bow mounted telescoping crane and rear cab. The work vessels shall be delivered FOB destination to the Pittsburgh Engineer Warehouse and Repair Shop (PEWARS), 3500 Grand Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15225-1584. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set Aside Firm Fixed Price acquisition. All responsible offerors are encouraged to participate. Fabrication and delivery of the new steel work vessel shall be completed within 180 calendar days after written Notice of Contract Award. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued approximately 30 July 2015, online through Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) and Federal Business Opportunities (FBO.gov), therefore, requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must register as an interested vendor on the FBO.gov website. If you are not registered, the Government is not responsible with providing notification of any changes to this solicitation. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) before receiving a contract award (go to www.sam.gov to register). The NAICS for this procurement is 336612 "Boat Building" and the small business size standard is 500 employees.
