- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: PROJECT TITLE: FLOOR DRAIN - INSTALL NEW TWO-WAY CLEANOUT The project work site is located at the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Training Center (TRACEN), 1 Munro Avenue, Galley Building #278, Cape May, New Jersey (Cape May county). Major work items include but are not limited to: The Contractor shall be responsible to move and put back to original location all equipment and items that are not attached to the galley floor that are in the way of performing this project; Constructing/providing enclosure for the area to be demolished to prevent dust and debris from traveling throughout the Galley Building; Demolish approximately 25 square feet of existing ceramic floor tile and 7" thick concrete slab on grade (has #4 reinforcement bars, 12" center to center both directions top and bottom). The foundation piers for the building are not located in the area of this cleanout installation; Excavate fill material to expose the 4"cast iron pipe approximately 44" below grade. Provide shoring to ensure no collapse of adjacent fill material; Remove a section of pipe as needed to install a new 2 way cleanout with Fernco style fittings; Install Schedule 40 PVC piping from the cleanout to the floor surface including plug. The cover in the tile floor to match existing cleanout covers in adjacent area; Reinstall/provide and compact fill material in disturbed area to compaction of adjacent fill material; Provide new concrete (minimum 3000 PSI) 7" thick floor slab, with reinforcement bars, to be pinned to the existing concrete floor slab; Reinstall removed tile or match existing tile in adjacent area incorporating the cleanout cover in the approximately 25 square foot area; Clean the pipe from the newly installed cleanout to the Pots/Pans Washing Room (approximately 100 feet) and to the Grease Interceptor (approximately 30 feet) a. Cleaning shall be performed using a hydraulically propelled high- velocity jet cleaning equipment specifically designed and constructed for such use. b. Completing remove and dispose of all dirt, debris and rubbish; Perform a television/video inspection of the cleaned sections of pipe from the newly installed cleanout to the Pots/Pans Washing Room and to the Grease Interceptor. Provide a video recording CD/DVD of the pipe sections inspected a. Video camera for the inspection shall be one specifically designed and constructed for such inspection; SUBMITTALS: Product data for items stated above; Equipment data for items stated above using USCG Material Approval Request Form; Remove all enclosures; clean and sanitize the areas affected by this work; Contractor's Daily Report to Inspector (completed) shall be provided to the Contracting Officer's Representative the following working day; Mobilization, demobilization and clean up; and all supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, labor and all other incidentals necessary to complete the work. Period of Performance shall be 21 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. All work shall be performed in accordance with the USCG specifications, provisions, clauses and the terms and conditions which will be provided when all Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation document files become available for public download on or after 6 August 2015 exclusively from the internet by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at: http://www.fbo.gov. If solicitation files do not appear on that date, please check back daily. The date set for receipt of offers is approximately 2 SEPTEMBER 2015. These dates are estimated and may change.
