Description
Copy of TRB's Published RFP This Special Notice does not represent an opportunity with the Federal Highway Administration. The attached document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Transportation Research Board (TRB) of the National Academy of Science for a project entitled "SHRP2 Naturalistic Driving Study Data Participant Disclosure Risk Assessment." TRB is a recipient of a Cooperative Agreement with the Federal Highway Administration, under which the SHRP2 safety data will be made available to qualified users. This RFP is to conduct efforts under the subject Cooperative Agreement. The project initiated through this RFP will assess the risks of re-identifying naturalistic driving study participants associated with providing various data elements in the two petabyte Naturalistic Driving Study (NDS) database as public use datasets. This is a precursor to developing a Public Use Dataset (PUD) development plan. PUDs are a commonly-used strategy for promoting more open data availability for qualified users. The objective is to engage an organization experienced in disclosure risk assessment of human subjects study data to assess the potential for SHRP2 NDS participant's identity to be determined through use or manipulation of potential SHRP2 PUDs, either stand-alone, in combination, or when fused with external sources of information." This notice is published on behalf of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) of the National Academy of Science. More information can be found in the attached document or at: http://www.trb.org/main/blurbs/172889.aspx All questions should be addressed to David Plazak, TRB Senior Program Officer, at dplazak@nas.edu or (202) 334-1834.
