- Synopsis: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO)3, Montrose, NY 10548 (Service location is Northport, NY 11768) is currently conducting a market survey to identify possible sources capable of providing "Full Service Preventative Maintenance PM, Inspection and repair, software updates, parts at the Northport NY Department of Veterans Affairs site for Government owned BacT/Alert 3D equipment. NAME/DESCRIPTION OF EQUIPMENT EQUIPMENT BacT/Alert 3D Combo Equipment MANUFACTURER - BIOMERIEUX, INC Model - BacT/ALERT 3D Combo The prospective contractor will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: (1)Cleaning of equipment (2)Reviewing operating system software dianostics to ensure that the system is operating to the manufacturer's specifications. (3)Calibrating and lubricating equipment. (4)Performing remedial maintenance of non-emergent nature. (5)Testing and replacing faulty and work parts and/or parts which are likely to become faulty, fail or become worn. (6)Measuring and adjusting and calibrating as necessary for optimal performance, output image quality. (7)Inspecting electrical wiring and cables for wear and fraying. (8)Inspecting all mechanical components including, but not limited to: patient restraints and support devices, cables and mounting hardware, chains, belts, bearings, and tracks, interlocks, clutches, motors, keyboards, and patient couches for mechanical integrity, safety, and performance. (9)Performing any Electrical Safety Inspections required by NFPA-9910 10) Returning the equipment to the operating condition defined in Section III, Conformance Standards. 11) Providing documentation of services performed. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 811219 (Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and the standard size is $19.0 Million. The Product Service Code (PSC) is J (Maintenance, repair & rebuilding of equipment). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email) and must be received not later than July 29, 2015at 4:00PM EST. Email: pamala.tharp@va.gov. Attn: Pamala Tharp, Contract Specialist). No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities on the specific equipment identified above, DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic status. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time will not be considered for this procurement. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 811219. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
