Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care (VISN 6) intends to negotiate sole source commercial item procurement with Clinicomp Internatrional, Inc. of San Diego CA, to provide an integrated system that will employee advanced technological methods in the integration of healthcare data, to improve patient quality of care, reduction of medical errors and increase in cost savings. The clinical information system is capable of importing physiologic data as a continuous stream from a most standard patient monitoring device. The data is not limited to invasive and non-invasive blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, end-tidal carbon dioxide concentration, fraction of inspired air, cardiac output, pulmonary artery pressure, central venous pressure, and segment analysis is included. This proposed procurement is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than Noon, July 24, 2015, local time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract was based on the system being a proprietary database that was designed by Clinicomp International Inc. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
