THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15, has a requirement to obtain on-site full service maintenance of installed UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLIES (UPS) AND VALVE REGULATED LEAD ACID (VRLA) BATTERY SYSTEMS at the VA Medical Center, St. Louis MO. It is anticipated that a base one (1) year contract with up to four (4) one (1) year option years will be awarded. The government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract. The contractor will provide semi-annual preventive maintenance to include verification of firmware revision(s) and updating of system components to manufacturer specifications. In the event of a problem all parts that are not specifically excluded, travel and labor to make the equipment fully operational will be provided, installed and tested. Unscheduled emergency response is considered to be additional service and is not included in the planned maintenance. Emergency response must be available on-site no later than the next business day. Time and material for the emergency response must be preapproved and will be separately quoted and invoiced. All services shall be performed on-site by certified contractor service personnel. The contractor must have access to and furnish new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or OEM approved parts. All parts shall be of current manufacture and have complete versatility with the presently installed equipment. All parts shall perform identically to the original equipment specifications. No Gray Market or non-OEM approved third party parts will be used. Specifically excluded will be support for third party equipment (equipment not listed below), Internal and external batteries, of inter-cell or inter-terminal connectors. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 811219. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date.
