- Experience Questionnaire Map 3 Map 2 Map 1 Specifications Solicitation/RFQ The U.S. Forest Service has a requirement for chemical site preparation for natural regeneration of helicopter units. Contractor will be required to provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment and materials necessary for hand application of herbicide to stumps of black birch, striped maples, Fraser magnolia, red maple and American beech in accordance with the specifications and provisions of the contract. This project is located on the Monongahela National Forest, Greenbrier Ranger District, Pocahontas County, West Virginia. SITE LOCATIONS: The areas to be treated are within the boundaries of the Monongahela National Forest, Greenbrier Ranger District, in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. (See attached maps). Each unit is usually less than 40 acres and greater than 10 acres in size, although a few units may be smaller or larger than this. The general location of and access to each area, will be shown on a project area map of each area. These maps will be provided at the pre-work conference. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance is 365 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. SITE VISIT INFORMATION: A pre-quote meeting will take place at 10:00 AM beginning at the Greenbrier Ranger District Office, 7409 Staunton-Parkersburg Turnpike, Bartow. WV. A project showing will follow. ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN ‘SAM' DATABASE REQUIRED: In order to be considered for award of this project, registration in System for Award Management database (SAM) is required. Registration in SAM may be completed at www.sam.gov at no cost. SET-ASIDE: This project is set-aside for small business.
