Description

The Fleet Logistics Center, Jacksonville (FLCJ) has a procurement for fresh fruits and vegetables in Bridgeport, Barbados. The primary objective of this contract is to obtain provisions in support for USNS Comfort during Continuing Promise (CP) 2015 mission during the April through September timeframe. This particular shipment is required on 7 August 2015 (+/- 24 hours). Provisions, Fresh fruits, vegetables, Milk and Dairy products must be delivered from origin to the ship at anchorage by barge in a refrigerated container and maintain at a temperature range of 32 to 41 degrees Fahrenheit at all times. Vendor is to provide material handling equipment to offload provisions from the refrigerated container and then to the selected position for crane operations. All material must be on wood hard winged pallets, all winged pallets will be returned to vendor. Delivery time will be set when the ship has an arrival time, which would be within +/- 24 hrs. of arrival date that will be listed in actual solicitations. Arrival location will be provided once determined by the ship but not to exceed 12 nautical miles for the port.
