Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 1701 Directors Boulevard, Austin, Texas, 78744 intends to enter into a contract on the basis of other than full and open competition for frequency coordination, registration, and allocation services for wireless medical telemetry systems (WMTS) and equipment at all VA medical facilities. WMTS frequency coordination, registration, and allocation services to provide medical care to our Veterans while ensuring compliance with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules. WMTS frequency coordination, registration, and allocation services shall be for a 12 month base with four 12-month option periods. VA TAC intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price to Commscope Technologies, Comsearch Division, 19700 Janelia Farm Boulevard, Ashburn, VA 20147, pursuant to authority Section 41 U.S.C.3304(a)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 entitled, 'Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.' The proposed solicitation number for this effort is VA118A-15-R-0234. The place of performance is at the contractor's facilities, 19700 Janelia Farm Boulevard, Ashburn, VA 20147. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 541330, Engineering Services, with a corresponding small business size standard of $15 million. The estimated date of award for this action is July 15, 2015. This is a notification of intent, not a request for proposals.
