Description
The Application Technology Research Unit (ATRU) is looking for sources to possibly provide growth chambers. The unit is looking for between 3 & 6 growth chambers, depending on infrastructure, space availability and funding available. Specifications are as follows: Large Specifications: 16 sq. ft. interior growing area 56 inches of growing height RH range: 40-95% Transparent barrier between the lamps and growth area for more precise temperature control in the growing area. CO2 control, scrub and supplementation, to provide both below-ambient and above-ambient CO2 extended cold temperature down to -2 C. Light: Max > 600 micromole/m^2/S, adjustable light levels Flexibility of using various lights for desired light quality Air exchange rate: < 1/hr (less than one air exchange per hour) Air sample port: for continuous air quality monitoring Sensor output interface: allows data transmission between inside and outside of the chamber. Sensors are located inside of the chamber. Data can be collected and monitored without opening the chamber. Data is logged on an external computer. Irrigation line: allows watering plants inside using external water supply Integrated computer control of multiple growth chambers. Day/night temperature, humidity, CO2, light set points Small Specifications: 29 cu. ft. interior growing area Min. 50 inches interior height 2 shelves, adjustable, with separate light canopy for each Min. 400 umol/m2/s PAR light intensity per shelf Adjustable light intensity for each shelf RH range: 40-90% Temperature: 4-40 C Stepwise and diurnal temperature control options CO2 control: scrub and supplementation (100 - 2000 umol/mol) Data monitoring and logging of temperature, light, and CO2 Observation window Castors for mobility
