Description
The Contractor shall comply with tasks contained in the subject contract and support the day-to-day operations of the Communications Squadron under the scope of this tasking for the Morale Network (MN) work center. The MN function is operated to provide deployed Air Expeditionary Wing (AEW) personnel and other personnel, as designated by the wing or Communications Squadron Commander or designated representative(s), a means to communicate with home station/home site family, friends, and co-workers as well as a means for conducting personal business as necessary to alleviate deployed personnel from placing that network work load on a Government networked workstation. The Contractor will have basic knowledge/will be able to perform the customary duties and responsibilities of the MN work center. Customary duties and responsibilities of maintaining the MN work include: Ability to configure, install and troubleshoot Cisco network devices (e.g. 6500 and 3700 series switches) Ability to draft, document, and interpret network configurations Ability to use Blue Coat Proxy Server to employ policies to protect MN from internal/external threats Ability to use Dynamic Host Control Protocols to construct subnets and control IP addresses Ability to install, operate, and troubleshoot all Windows Server platforms Ability to operate and troubleshoot CISCO Wireless Services Module (WISM) Ability to maintain and update CISCO WISM database Ability to adapt to/learn new types of MN and wireless equipment as required by Government Utilize "WhatsUp Gold" software to monitor, track, and diagram NM's topology with 100% accuracy Utilize Cisco Wireless Control System to configure and install Cisco Aeronet Wireless Access Points Utilize Cisco Access Control Server to regulate MN access to those identified by Communication Squadron commander via MAC address authentication Utilize Blue Coat Packet Shaper to optimize bandwidth utilization and prevent access to unauthorized sites Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco Wireless Access Points (WAPs) Fabricate, terminate, and test CAT VI network cable Install CAT VI network cable from the Wireless Access Points to the servicing switch Provide weekly utilization reports consisting of the following information Bandwidth utilization Peak utilization hours Number of devices connected Top ten protocols utilized Bandwidth percentage pertaining to each protocol Coordinating scheduled outages with the internet service provider
