Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Fargo, North Dakota intends to sole source a firm fixed priced commercial items contract to Medtronic USA, Inc. to provide the Iowa City VA Healthcare System with (3) new Medtronic Temporary Pacemakers, Model 5392. The supplies will be delivered to the Department of Veterans Affairs Iowa City VA Healthcare System, 601 Highway 6 West, Iowa City, IA 52246-2208 A sole source procurement will be issued to Medtronic USA, Inc. as they are the only vendor capable of supplying an external pacemaker both single and double channel function capabilities. This product must meet government standards - RoHS and 60601-1 (3rd edition) and provide for the following modes: DDD, DOO, DDI, AAI, AOO, VVI, VOO. The following minimal specifications must be met: Basic Pacing Rates:30-220 ppm Upper Rate:80-230 ppm Rapid Atrial Pacing Rates 80-800 ppm Output Amplitude, Atria: 0.1-20 mA / Ventricular 0.1-25 mA Pulse Width, Atrial 1.0 ms / Ventricular 1.5ms Sensitivity, Atrial0.4-10 mV / Ventricular 0.8-20 mV A-V Interval:paced A-V (PAV): 50-250 Auto / 200-300 Manual / Sensed A-V (SAV) 50-250 Refractory Period:Atrial: 150-500 ms (PVARP), Atrial Refractory after an Atrial Event is equal to the AV Interval / Ventricular: N/A Ventricular Blanking:Pace: 200 ms / Sense: 120 ms Must not exceed the following dimensions, as the pacemaker must securely fit into standard patient gowns issued by the Iowa City VA Healthcare System: Height: 20.3 cm (8.0") Width: 8.6 cm (3.375") Depth: 4.45 cm (1.75") This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1 (b)(2). "Soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 334510 and has a size standard of 500 employees for this procurement is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 4:00pm CST, July 8, 2015 to: david.malm@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government
