- Description
- This synopsis is to post a revised J&A. Department of Surgery, Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The Department of Surgery at BAMC currently has support for Oncology Cancer Reporting Registry - One File Server License providing multiple workstation access (Primary Site License), newest release of Oncolog 4.2 with new Gather Reporting Module, Data Conversion Services, and Oncolog Training. This requirement is under current contract W9124J-14-P-0088, awarded 1 Aug 2014 for $94,975 with one (1) base year plus four (4) option years. While a contract is already in place for Oncolog, new oncology data management software, it was awarded for only five users instead of the proper number on staff in the Tumor Registry Service; therefore, additional users must be added for the product to be put into use. Additionally items listed as optional on the quote for the original contract were not purchased as part of the contract. Although listed as optional, the Tumor Registry Service requires them and was not aware the functionality was not included in the contract until working with the vendor to customize the software for initial set-up. The various electronic interfaces for casefinding and patient follow-up are part of the core reasons the software purchase was initiated. ONCO, Inc.'s OncoNAV is the only source that meets all of the new required requirements by the Commission on Cancer for accredited cancer programs that went into effect on 1 January 2015 and completely interface with the oncology data management software allowing complete exchange of information between the two programs and allow added expansion as additional modules are purchased to further support the cancer program. See attached Justification and Approval.
