Description

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Care Administration, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22 is hereby publishing a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Valor Healthcare Inc. The Long Beach Veterans Health Care System has a current community Based Outpatient Clinic to provide primary medical care services and ancillary medical care services to veteran patient beneficiaries within the local Laguna Hills, Ca catchment area. Community Based Outpatient Clinics or CBOCS are established within geographical catchment areas that have an established veteran patient population outside of the greater metropolitan areas that larger VA Medical Centers are normally located. CBOCS allow veterans greater access to care and take away the burden of traveling to larger cities often hours from their homes. COBOC often provide shorter waiting periods to receive care. The Laguna Hills CBOC is currently owned and operated by Valor Healthcare, Inc. This contract is awarded on the basis of Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, FAR 6.302-1. The amount of the contract is an estimated $454,000.00. The contract is a firm fixed price contract. A request for quote/request for proposal will not be made available as this is a direct sole source award to Valor/ Concentra Healthcare Inc. Direct Patient care continuity is essential to the Department of Veteran Affairs.
