- Description
- 374th Contracting Squadron located at Yokota Air Base, Japan is contemplating to issue a solicitation to renovate a dormitory (Building #118) at Yokota Air Base. The solicitation has not yet been issued yet. However, to the vendors who provided positive responses to the market research questionnaire (Refer to the Sources Sought Notice of the same solicitation number), the Drawings, Specifications and Environmental Report are provided. This is a construction only project to renovate Dormitory 118 at Yokota Air Base, Japan. It consists of Base Bid plus three (3) Bid Options (relatively minor work). The Base Bid work scope includes fire sprinkler system, HVAC system, and change of room configuration (joining existing two studio bays to create a larger unit with kitchenette and bath (existing 196 single bed studio units will be converted into 98 one-bedroom units.) The project includes Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Fire Protection, Electrical, Environmental and Civil work elements. Bid Options are: Replacement of Exterior Windows (Bid Option 1), Installation of Security Cameras (Bid Option 2) and Installation of Electronic Door Lock (Bid Option 3). The magnitude of this project including the Bid Options is between ¥600,600,000 and ¥1,201,200,000 (in accordance with FAR 36.204 (g), between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 with FY15 exchange rate of $1 = ¥120.12) The awardee will be required to furnish Performance Bond to cover 100% of the contract amount. NOTE: THIS NOTICE IS INTENDED ONLY FOR LOCAL SOURCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION 5.202(a)(12). LOCAL SOURCES ARE THOSE SOURCES NORMALLY RESIDENT, LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO CONDUCT CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS IN JAPAN. OFFERS FROM NON-LOCAL SOURCES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNDER THIS SOLICITATION.
