- Description
- The U.S. Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity (US AMSAA), in conjunction with the Joint Requirements Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JRO-CBRND), is seeking information on products, technologies, and/or approaches that could be utilized for testing leakage in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) masks using negative and/or positive pressure modes; serviceability to include function of one-way valves not visible when performing maintenance, pressure breathing for altitude testing, and/or quantitative fit factor. Information on products, technologies, and/or approaches received will be used to support the Next Generation Joint Service Mask Leakage Tester Analysis of Alternatives (AoA). Although the focus is on products, technologies, and approaches that are at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 (as listed by the Chemical Biological Defense Program (CBDP) Technology Transition Handbook; 20 July 2005), the Government will consider products, technologies, and approaches at lower TRL levels if appropriate. If applicable and/or available, the following information is requested on each of the products, technologies, and approaches received: Calibration frequency Capacity/Throughput (e.g., how many masks can be tested at one time; how much time is required to test the mask(s)) Consumables Determines Quantitative Fit Factor? (QFF) Number of operators required and associated training requirements Operational environment restrictions Power Requirements Procedures to setup and operate Sensitivity Shelf Life Size & Weight Special Packaging, Storage, and Transportation Requirements System disposal cost at end of useful life, if applicable System support concept (description and cost as applicable) Annual cost of field support/help desk services Annual cost of consumables Annual system repair cost - specify normal location (e.g. field, manufacturing facility) and types of repair (e.g. calibration, software updates, etc.) Test Results (how are test results indicated?) Testing Ranges Training requirements Unit cost (also quantity price breaks and any training cost to customer) Upgradeability (e.g., hardware and software) Useful life (express in years, operating hours, etc.) All interested firms and manufacturers, regardless of size, are encouraged to respond to this RFI. The response should be no longer than 10 pages or not exceed 3 MB in size. Responders should provide the following: Point of Contact Name, Company Name, Address, Email, Phone, DUNS number, NAICS Code and whether or not vendor is a small business (include number of employees). Information submissions must be received NLT 5:00 p.m. EST on July 31 2015. Documents shall be in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and/or Adobe Professional format and provided on compact disk (CD) or sent by electronic mail. No telephonic responses to this RFI will be considered. Where the vendor deems appropriate, hard copies can also be submitted as backup and/or support information.
