Description
Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. The Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 3, Network Contracting Office 3 (10N3NCO) is currently conducting a market survey for firms capable of providing Membership to the Pebble Project. PEBBLE PROJECT MEMBERSHIP. VA New Jersey Health Care System (VANJHCS) seeks to continue as a Pebble Partner in conjunction with the Center for Health Design (CHD) and select from an array of programs and services that best align with the needs of our organization. The strategic plan for the VANJHCS involves aligning the core components of healing environments with Veterans Health Administration (VHA) programs and initiatives to affect a patient centered culture. VA NJHCS seeks Tier 2, Pebble Partner Membership to hypothesize about features and outcomes, and then, with CHD's assistance, undertake an EBD project or activity that measures results and contributes to an industry body of knowledge. For example: -Conduct a pre-occupancy EBD evaluation; or, -Conduct a post occupancy evaluation with a standardized CHD tool; or, -Create a literature review or white paper supporting the use of a specific design feature or EBD process. VA New Jersey Health Care System (VANJHCS) serves as the Region 4 Patient Centered Care (PCC) Center of Innovation for VHA facilities located in VISNS 1, 2, 3, 4, 10 and 11 which is leading the VHA priority for cultural transformation from a current system which is reactive for disease care to one that is personalized, proactive and patient-driven. The Pebble Project aims to work with progressive healthcare organizations throughout the world engaged in significant projects and who believe in a potentially beneficial relationship between the facility design process, the ultimate facility design, and organizational behavior. Through the Pebble Project, organizations join a community of like -minded professionals to learn, research, and share information about how to create better healthcare buildings that affect safety, satisfaction, and outcomes. Pebble partners learn about the program, collect information, learn from and participate with staff and Pebble; use and Evidence Based Checklist (EBD); stay up-to-date through colloquiums, and provide base data. As they progress, Pebble Partners hypothesize about features and outcomes and contribute to an industry body of knowledge through more generalized methods. Finally, Pebble members conduct custom or replicated rigorous research studies and or implementation of new design methodology and processes, and ultimately they disseminate their results. (CHD Staff) KnowledgeAccess to The Center's growing database of research and key-point summaries Repository Pebble-in-Registration for 2 staff members at two Pebble events (Pebble Partner Colloquium and/ Practice/Pebbleor Pebble in Practice event) Colloquium Attendance: Pebble ColloquiumAccess to archived content from past Pebble Partner Colloquia archives Access to AffiliateA rich source of information on the most discussed topics that includes research briefs, Plus materialscase studies, interviews and blogs - launching mid 2015 The EBD 2.2A comprehensive spreadsheet-based tool developed by the Military Health System Checklist:(MHS) designed to be used in both Inpatient Care and Ambulatory Care environments. The EBD Checklist Tool is designed for use in the Programming, Schematic Design, and Design Development phases of the design process, although there are some elements related to Visioning and Facilities Maintenance. The Checklist can be filtered by Phase, Trade, Care Type, Space Type, Design Goal, User and levels of evidence at Design Driver and Design Strategy levels. Access to UCPebble Projects have access to one (1) standard Center for the Built Environment (CBE) Berkeley Center forsurvey, an online tool developed by Berkeley. The survey is intuitive and streamlined; it the Builtpreserves the confidentiality of respondents, and controls access in order to maintain Environment (CBE)data integrity. As soon as the survey is completed, reports are immediately available via survey:a password protected website, and they can be printed directly or downloaded into other documents. The reports help: evaluate the effectiveness of building service providers; justify facility expenditures to management; assess the effectiveness of improvements; stay aware of the occupants' perceptions of the building; enhance communication between corporate real estate, facility operators, and building occupants. The standard survey includes questions on the following key aspects of the indoor environment: Office Layout; Office Furnishings; Thermal Comfort; Air Quality; Lighting; Acoustic Quality; Cleanliness and Maintenance. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing via email and must be received not later than Thursday, July 2, 2015, 1:00pm EST. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 238220. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities for which you have provided services to, proof of applicable certification. DUNS number, address, point of contact and social-economic category (ex: SBVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small Business).
