- Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to meet the requirements of DFARS PGI 206.302-1(d). The intent is to award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to Airborne Systems, Inc. The contract will include a one (1) year Base ordering period and four (4) one year Option periods. The contract is to meet all NSWC requirements for assemblies and parts/components of the MT-2XX parachute system. Airborne Systems, Inc.'s parachute is certified per NAVSEAINST 13512.1 as Equipment Authorized for Navy Use. Historically, NSWC has procured MT-2XX assemblies and parts/components on a sole source basis from Airborne Systems, Inc. The purpose of this RFI is for NSWC to be able to: •1. Confirm that no other certified sources exist for MT-2XX assemblies and parts/components, per NAVSEAINST 13512.1 •2. Meet the requirements of DFARS PGI 206.302-1(d) This notice is for market research and planning purposes only and does not obligate the Government to any contractual agreement. This is not a request for quote or proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses, nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted, nor will respondents be notified of the review of the information received. The information obtained from this RFI will be used as market research for consideration in development of the acquisition strategy for the Government's requirement. The Government will not reimburse interested sources for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in Fed Biz Opps (http://www.fedbizopps.gov). It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any synopsis or solicitation. Prospective sources certified to provide the assemblies and parts/components described above are invited to submit comments and include a magnitude and capabilities statement. Other information that will allow the Government to formulate a strategy will be considered. Submissions should be limited to no more than two (2) pages, including the cover page. Submissions containing proprietary data must be clearly marked. The cover page and each page containing proprietary data must include the marking. It is the respondent's responsibility to clearly define to the Government what is considered proprietary data.
