Description

Shop Support Tools FA8224-15-T-0035 Sonopsis of proposed contract action: Air Force Sustainment Center, Hill Air Force Base, UT PZIMB Contracting, intends to negotiate and issue a award to Honeywell International Inc. 315 E Stephenson St. Freeport IL, 61032-3340, in accordance with the terms and conditions of FAR 13.106-1 (b). The justification for negotiating with a single source is that this requirement is only available from a single responsible sources and no other type of product will satisfy agency requirements. All the needed parts for this proposed contract are Honeywell proprietary parts to include all of the drawings and technical data. The Air Force is unable to provide the technical data to other contractors for the purpose of fabricating the items. Without these parts, the shops will be unable to complete their maintenance tasks according to the Air Force Technical Orders. Contract award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the this requirement.
