- This is a Request for Information(RFI) only. This is not a Request for Proposals and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that the Government will take procurement action on this matter. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in furnishing information provided under this Sources Sought Announcement. Responses will assist the Government in determining potential responsible sources and to determine the technical capability of the domestic production base. 1. OVERVIEW The US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground - Installation Contracting Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen, Maryland, 21005 are conducting a Request for Information(RFI) market survey to identify sources with the interest and capability to provide software that simulates the efficacy of vaccines and medication delivery in human and animal subjects. 2. REQUIREMENTS The Edgewood Chemical and Biological Center ECBC requires Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion and Toxicity (ADMET) and Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling and simulation software that simulates the efficacy of vaccines, medication, and pharmaceutical effects in human and animal subjects. This software shall meet the Government's requirements of operability within the medical pharmaceutical branch. Additionally, the software shall have an inhalation module to simulate the deposition and distributor of aerosols in the lung. This module is required for modelling inhalation toxicology. 3. INSTRUCTIONS TO POTENTIAL RESPONDENTS - DELIVERABLES This is NOT a Request for Quotes. Companies that desire to participate in this Request for Information are encouraged to submit a response which supports the company's claim that it presently has the technology, qualifications, experience, and capabilities to satisfy the requirements. Specifically, any interested companies are requested to provide the following information: 1) Name of Company 2) Business CAGE code 3) Point of contact and phone number 4) Size of Business according to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 511210 5) Other suggested NAICS codes for this program and your size classification based on these codes. 6) Company certifications (e.g. ISO-9001, ASI-9100, CMMI) 7) Would you propose on a potential procurement as a prime or subcontractor? 8) Information on whether the product is considered commercial in accordance with the quote mark commercial item quote mark definition found in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 2.101. All requests for further information must be made via email. Telephone requests for additional information will not be honored.
