- Description
- NASA/GRC has a requirement for an EDS Silicon Drift Detector meeting the following specifications: EDS Analysis System: Must interface with a JEOL 6390LV SEM Silicon Drift Detector type of detector Dry type of detector. Liquid Nitrogen NOT required to cool system. Sensor area at least 60 mm2 Element detection down to Beryllium Quantification of elements starting with Boron Maximum energy resolution of 129 eV for Mn Kα Resolution stability greater than 90% up to 200 kcps Input counts > 1.5 Mcps and throughputs > 750 kcps Peak to background > 8,500:1 Sum Peak ration < 2% of Al Kα Ethernet communication capability Software to control detector to include: Image and chemical analysis software designed to detect and chemically analyze particles, inclusions or phases from single or multiple SEM fields of view. Phase mapping Ability to work with the dataset during collection Drift correction to preserve the correct shape of features when analyzing samples Report generation capability Includes one software license to be used on an offline workstation Analyzer computer controller minimum requirements: Windows 7 or newer OS Microsoft Office 2010 Home & Business Test and modify (if needed) at factory prior to shipment 22 Widescreen Flat Panel LCD Monitor Price to include shipping, installation, on-site training, and one year Service & Support Agreement. NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from EDAX INC., 91 MCKEE DR MAHWAH, NJ 07430-2105. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact ( DAVID.S.ECCLESTON@NASA.GOV ) not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on JULY 3TH, 2015. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
