- Description
- Sources Sought The U. S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Acquisition Management, Contracts and Grants (AMCG) is issuing a Sources Sought to identify preferably small businesses which can provide proper disposal of bulk expired pharmaceutical supplies with a cost of recovery fee. The Department is seeking small business under the 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB Programs or small businesses for a possible future acquisition to provide the requirement. This Sources Sought solicits industry's interest and capability to provide the support, and the Department's preference would be if one company can provide all of the stated work. Businesses must provide evidence showing their capability to perform the work; this is for planning purposes only. This does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), a Request for Quotation (RFQ), an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a promise to issue one in the future. Furthermore, the Department is not liable for any costs incurred as a result of vendor responses to this Sources Sought. The Government does not intend to award a contract for any service on the basis of this request or to otherwise pay for the information. This request is issued for the purpose to receive information and feedback on interest and capabilities of potential sources. SCOPE: The Department is seeking information from contractors on who can provide the maximum credits for the disposal of expired or soon to be expired pharmaceuticals, in processing any related pharmaceutical waste that may arise out of non-returnable pharmaceuticals and in removal and disposal of unused expired medical surgical supplies within the United States which includes the 50 states, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The Government's need for on-site servicing at Government facilities and off-site processing function at the contractor's facility is imperative to assure optimum inventory control and to minimize the violation of laws and regulations, especially in the area of pharmaceutical waste disposal. Contractors shall be compliant with all applicable regulations related to hazardous waste handling. Please provide your companies size standard (e.g. small, veteran, large, and/or any other preference) when responding to this Sources Sought. RESPONSE: Your response should address the scope above, stating whether your company can perform the work. Responses must be submitted with narrative regarding the information addressing the information in the scope above. Interested parties may submit their responses this Sources Sought to Carol Matamoro Allen, Contract Specialist via e-mail at Carol.Allen@hhs.gov. Responses to the Sources Sought should address if the responder could meet the Government's requirements. Responses should refer to HHS06192015. Responses must be received via e-mail by 4:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday June 24, 2015.
