- NGA-15-RFI-0060MB NGA-15-RFI-0060MB.docx Onsite Patrol Vehicle Cleaning Services BACKGROUND The National Gallery of Art (Gallery) is located on the National Mall between Third and Ninth Streets at Constitution Avenue, NW, in Washington, DC. The Gallery consists of: the East Building and West Building, comprising over 1.6 million square feet of exhibition galleries and non-public spaces, and a 6.1 acre outdoor Sculpture Garden with various works of modern art, a fountain (which serves as a skating rink in the winter) and a café. The East and West Buildings are inter-connected through an underground concourse level that runs below 4th Street, NW. The National Gallery of Art is one of the great art galleries in the world with an internationally acclaimed collection. The Gallery's mission is to serve the nation by collecting, exhibiting, preserving, studying and encouraging the understanding of great works of art. The Office of Protection Services (AOP) has the sole responsibility for the protection and security of the priceless national collections, its properties, staff and visitors. OBJECTIVE The Gallery is interested in contracting with a vendor for onsite patrol vehicle washing/detailing services. At this time, AOP operates three different types of patrol vehicles totaling seventeen (17), as follows. MakeModelQuantity GEME25 T3Patrollers7 KawasakiMule5 SCOPE OF WORK The vendor will be required to provide all labor, equipment, and supplies for onsite exterior washing and interior cleaning and detailing of all Gallery patrol vehicles. Vendor will wipe down all vehicles after the exterior washing is completed. Vendor must provide all cleaning supplies necessary such as but not limited to: hoses, buckets, sponges, vacuums, towels. All detergents used must be biodegradable. The Gallery will provide a water source. Services: Monthly, the vendor will provide the following services for each vehicle: 1.Wash the exterior with soap and water, including tires NOTE: Vendor must not pour water on the T3 display monitors and special attention will be required for these vehicles. 2.Wipe down the exterior after wash 3.Interior detailing to include cleaning windows, consoles, seats and vacuuming. Schedule: Each vehicle will be washed once a month with the total number of visits per month not to exceed two (2). The dates for scheduled cleanings will be decided in consultation with all parties. Onsite Location: The Gallery will have two areas for onsite cleaning: The primary location will be outdoors in the Sculpture Garden and an interior area located off the Loading Dock will serve as a backup location. Make-up "rain days" for use of the Sculpture Garden are anticipated. In the event of continuous bad weather or winter season, the Loading Dock location will be used. The vendor will be required to schedule an appointment to use the Loading Dock no more than two days in advance that is acceptable to the Gallery. GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED EQUIPMENT Water supply as necessary. GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED EQUIPMENT None. TIME AND PLACE OF PERFORMANCE Work will be performed at the National Gallery of Art, located between Third and Ninth Streets at Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20565 Work should be performed during the Gallery's normal working hours: Sunday through Saturday, from the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. only. ROUGH ORDER OF MAGNITUDE (ROM) The vendor shall provide a rough order of magnitude, pricing for those tasks under the Scope of Work. The National Gallery of Art IS NOT requesting proposals at this time, but merely interested in a ROM for planning purposes only. The ROM shall address each of the areas under the SOW.
