Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source firm fixed price commercial item contract with Peart-Hannon Consulting Group, LLC., dba i4DM, a Veteran-Owned Small Business to provide the VA Medical Center Palo Alto with a turnkey solution CenTrak Patient Elopement and Wandering (PEW) System that fully integrates with the CenTrak Real Time Location System (RTLS) currently installed throughout the VA Palo Alto Health Care facility. The PEW system will be delivered to the VAMC Palo Alto, 3801 Miranda Ave., Bldg. 500, Palo Alto, CA 94304. The PEW application will provide patient elopement and wandering prevention to the Polytrauma Blind Rehabilitation Center (PTBRC). The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 541511. The Government believes that i4DM is the only provider that can satisfy the agency requirements. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with a sole source for the required PEW system. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy the agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge, i4DM is the only source that provides the above indicated PEW system that fully integrates with the CenTrak RTLS infrastructure, CenTrak Guardian platform and hardware. This is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer on or before the closing date, 6/26/2015, of this sources sought notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to mandy.thompson2@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated however, a determination by the Government not to complete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VAMC Palo Alto, CA will proceed with the sole source negotiation with i4DM.
