- PRESOLICITATION SOLE SOURCE THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT ONLY - The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 6.302-1, with Johns Hopkins University Press, 2715 North Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21218 for publishing a supplement to the "Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved." Supplement will include a combination of editorials, research articles, and other introductory text to provide guidance to the reader as to scope and content. The special theme issue will contribute to a more thorough and integrated examination of rural health care issues. Additionally, the special theme issue will be dedicated to articles detailing qualitative and quantitative findings related to health care delivery redesign, financing models, health information technology, improved access and clinical quality in order to advance rural health research, policy, practice and education. A Justification & Approval (J&A) is on file and will be posted 14 days after contract award. Sole source determination is based on only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. Johns Hopkins University Press is the only organization that publishes the supplements to the Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved. No other organization can publish the supplements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 511199, and the size standard is 500 employees. Interested persons may identify their interest by responding to the requirement within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation is available.
