Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 3, Montrose, NY 10548 (Service Location is Northport, NY 11768) is currently conducting a market survey to identify possible sources capable of providing "Full Service Preventive Maintenance (PM), inspection, and Repair of government owned Datex-Ohmeda brand anesthesia systems and ancillary equipment" on-site at the Northport Department of Veterans Affairs, Northport, NY 11768. NAME/DESCRIPTION OF EQUIPMENT: EQUIPMENT - Anesthesia Machines and ancillary equipment MANUFACTURER - Datex-Ohmeda Inc, dba GE Healthcare Bioscience Bioprocess MODELS - Aestiva/5 7900, S/5, and Trace Gas Analysis The prospective contractor will be responsible for: (1). Two (2) preventative maintenances per year, consisting of cleaning of equipment, reviewing operating system software diagnostics to ensure that system is operating to the manufacturer's specifications, calibrating and lubricating the equipment, performing remedial maintenance of non-emergent nature, test and replacing faulty and worn parts and/or parts which are likely to become faulty fail or become worn, adjusting and calibrating as necessary, inspecting electrical wiring and cables for wear and fraying, inspecting all mechanical components, including, but not limited to, patient restraints and support devices, chains, belts, bearing and tracks, interlocks, clutches, motors, mechanical integrity, safety, and performance and performing electrical safety inspections, which should include line cord ground wire resistance and leakage. (2). Providing unlimited telephone technical support and all required parts. (3). Providing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized /certified technicians to accomplish the required service. (4). Perform any Electrical Safety Inspections required by NFPA-99 as they apply to this class of equipment and its application. (5). Returning the equipment in conformance with the latest FDA (medical device regulations (including Class 1, Class II, Class III, and MDDS) and TJC, OSHA, CDRH. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 811219 (Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and the standard size is $19.0 Million. The Product Service Code (PSC) is J (Maintenance, repair & rebuilding of equipment). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax) and must be received not later than June 19, 2015 at 4:00PM EST. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities on the specific equipment identified above, DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic status. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time will not be considered for this procurement. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 811219. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
