Description

Pre-solicitation - This notice announces the intent of the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Montgomery Alabama Regional Office, located at 345 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, AL 36109 to issue a solicitation for Climate Control and Metasystem Project at the Regional Office. This is not a request for offers/proposals/quotes. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This project will require providing climate control for all 7 communication closets, complete with communications from Metasystem to include, but not limited to, engineering, wiring, duct work, VAV's and thermostats; add Metasystem in the FAB (Bldg. 55) for control and A/C climate system; and add a duct heater to each of the 2-AHU for emergency heating and controlled by Metasystem. All work shall be performed after normal duty hours (8:00am - 4:30pm Central Daylight Time (CDT)). This Solicitation is Set Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) in accordance with FAR Part 19. Work to be performed under the contemplated contract will be within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 238220 with a size standard of $15 Million. The magnitude of construction estimated cost range for all work is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued electronically on or about June 25, 2015 on the Internet at: http://www.fbo.gov. To be eligible for contract award, responding firms must be verified as Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business under the applicable NAICS code in VETBIZ.GOV; registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and the Department of Labor's VETS-100 Database. Information concerning SAM requirements may be viewed via internet at https://www.sam.gov. Information concerning VETS-100 requirements may be viewed via the internet at https://webapps.dol.gov/vets100. Solicitation Number is RFQ VA101V-15-Q-0585 and will be available on or about June 25, 2015. Quotes will be due to the Contracting Officer via email only at Van.Hale@va.gov NLT July 10, 2015, 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time (EST).
