Description
NOTICE TO OFFERORS: FUNDS ARE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROJECT. THE GOVERNMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE SOLICITATION, EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE PROPOSAL CLOSING DATE WITH NO OBLIGATION TO THE OFFEROR. FAR CLAUSE 52.232-18, AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS, WILL BE INCORPORATED INTO THE SOLICITATION. TITLE: Renovate Bld. 678 Maxwell AFB, AL. Department of the Air Force, Air Education and Training Command (AETC), 42d Contracting Squadron, Maxwell AFB, AL 36112 will issue a Solicitation for Renovate Bld. 678 Maxwell AFB, AL. Building 678 interior will be completely renovated, with a modernization of all building and all building systems and infrastructure. The proposed solicitation will be set-aside 1 00% for 8(a) certified companies performing in the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $36,500,000.00. Only small business firms that adhere to the industry size standard for NAICS Code 236220 will be considered for award. Award of this contract will be made utilizing competitive best value source selection procedures. A single award Firm-Fixed Price type contract will be awarded. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. A bid guarantee will be required for this project. Contractors must be capable of securing bonding for the total proposed amount. IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation is projected to be issued on Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps), https://www.fbo.gov, on or about 15 June 2015. No paper copies of the solicitation, specifications, plans or bidders mailing list will be issued from this office. Telephone requests will not be accepted. The single source of entry for all documentation pertaining to this acquisition will be http://www.fbo.gov. All interested parties are responsible for checking this website to ensure they have the most current information (i.e., issued Amendments, Changes to the Statement of Work, etc). Telephone and Fax requests for a solicitation package will NOT be accepted. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. The Government shall not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of information or reimburse expenses incurred by interested parties for responses to this Pre-solicitation notice.
