Description
Architect-Engineer (A-E) Services for firm fixed-price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for various facilities and activities under the cognizance of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Marianas. Area of contract coverage is primarily on Guam and may include the outlying areas in the Pacific Ocean, including the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and Micronesia. A-E services that may be required under this contract include, but not limited to, DD Form 1391 documentation, design or design build documents, plans, specifications, cost estimates, related studies, surveying, soil borings, hazardous materials dentification, energy computation, other associated engineering services, shop drawing review, as-built drawing preparation, Operation and Maintenance Support Information, sustainable engineering design practices, and construction inspection and engineering consultation services during construction. Engineering services may be required for engineering related studies and assessments of infrastructure and building projects include, but not limited to, basic facilities requirements, engineering investigations, energy assessments, and concept studies. Projects will involve electrical engineering services and may include, but not limited to, incidental architectural, civil, mechanical, and structural engineering services. Planned projects include predominantly the design of repairs to existing electrical power transmissions and distribution systems that includes basic data, underground and overhead systems, submarine cable systems, substations, and modernization of electrical systems, and electrical engineering systems in the building facilities, e.g. interior electrical system, security intrusion systems, lightning protection and grounding systems, energy monitoring and control systems, wires communication and signal systems, interior and exterior lighting and control systems, cathodic protection system, 400 hertz mediumvoltage conversion/distribution and low-voltage utilization systems. The project scope involves new construction, renovation/modernization, and routine repair/maintenance of Government shore-based facilities on Guam and in the outlying areas in the Pacific Ocean. The facility types include, but not limited to, operations and training facilities, maintenance and production facilities, supply facilities, hospital-medical facilities, administrative and communication facilities, housing and community facilities, airfield, wharves, utilities, and ground improvement.
