Solicitation Number W15QKN-15-R-0002 Modular Handgun System (MHS) - Special Notice to Post the Industry Day #4 announcement INDUSTRY DAY #4 ANNOUNCEMENT: Project Management Soldier Weapons (PM SW), will be hosting a fourth MHS Industry Day Event on 7 - 8 July 2015 at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The purpose of Industry Day #4 is for pre-proposal planning. The objective is to provide information on topics that will impact the competition. Potential Offerors will have the opportunity to ask questions in an open forum or during a one-on-one session. The draft RFP #2 will be released after this announcement. Please continue to monitor FedBizzOpps for the publication of the draft RFP #2, which will be released within the next week. INDUSTRY DAY #4 FORMAT: The MHS Industry Day #4 will start with check-in at 7:30 am EDT at the Cannon Gates Conference Center, Building #121, 121 Buffington Road, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. The Industry Day general session will begin at 8:30 am, during which the Government plans to present updates to the MHS Program, to include program schedule, and other changes to the previously released Draft RFP #1, dated 29 September 2014. This will be followed by Government responses to as many questions that are received by 28 June 2015 5:00 PM EST regarding the content of the newly released Draft RFP #2. Should a vendor desire one-on-one time with the Government to address their specific concerns, there will be an opportunity to do so on the afternoon of 7 July and all day on 8 July. Interested parties should express their preference when registering for Industry Day. One-on-one sessions will be scheduled on a first come first served basis. Vendors will be allotted approximately 20 minutes and will receive a scheduled timeslot. If a vendor has presentation materials that would assist in the discussion, these may include, but are not limited to, PowerPoint presentations, written material, videos, brochures, etc. Any electronic media must be on a CD/DVD. Proprietary vendor information will be treated confidentially and discreetly. NO HARDWARE OF ANY KIND WILL BE PERMITTED AT THIS EVENT. NO USB FLASH DRIVES ARE PERMITTED. NO CAMERAS, TAPE RECORDERS OR OTHER REPRODUCTION DEVICES WILL BE ALLOWED. The Government will collect any follow-on written vendor questions that were not previously submitted prior to industry day regarding the content of the Government presentation. The questions and answers to all of the questions received both prior to and during Industry Day #4, will be posted on FedBizOps (FBO) at a later date which may or may not be prior to release of the final RFP. Vendors will not be identified in the FBO posting. Registration Instructions: Due to limited space and time, ONLY FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION MANUFACTURERS WILL BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND. No more than three (3) representatives may attend from each vendor. This restriction will be strictly enforced. All registrants must provide a government-issued photo identification at check-in. INTERESTED PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER NO LATER THAN 12 June 2015. NOTE: FOREIGN VISITORS PLEASE BE COGNIZANT OF THE ADDITIONAL TIME REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION. All visitors must be registered in the Picatinny Security System prior to Industry Day. To register you MUST contact either Mr. Vincent Turco, Contract Specialist, via email at, vincent.f.turco.civ@mail.mil or Dan Potempa at daniel.l.potempa2.civ@mail.mil. Interested vendors should include the following details in the registration email: company name; CAGE code; names of each (of the up to three (3)) representatives who will attend the Industry Day; and the nationality of each attendee. Each attendee must also provide a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement. If you desire to set up one-on-one with the Government, please indicate when you register. NOTE: Foreign individuals will need to be approved and comply with all instructions determined by the Army Contracting Command Foreign Disclosure Officer. Information on foreign individuals will need to be received no later than 30 days prior to attending. Any request for a substitution of personnel must be received no later than 5 pm EDT on 25 June 2015 for U.S. citizens ONLY and is subject to approval by the U.S. Government. There will be not be enough time allowed for any changes for foreign registered visitors.
