- Statement of Work (draft) Market Research Questionnaire THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for pathology and cytology services at the Federal Medical Center located in Lexington, Kentucky. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621511 (Size Standard: $32.5 million). All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the industry and compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations. The successful contractor will be responsible for providing the professional services of a board certified pathologist whom will make monthly on-site visits to FMC Lexington. In addition, the successful contractor will be responsible for the transportation and testing of specimens from FMC at their own laboratory. The estimated requirement for service is two hours of on-site pathologist visits twelve times annually and the transportation and testing of an estimated 432 specimens annually. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contracts with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The response date for the market survey is Friday, June 19, 2015. All responses to the Market Research Questionnaire shall be submitted via email to jseratt@bop.gov.
