- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Disease (NCEZID) intends to solicit a single source and award a firm fixed price purchase order to Fluoresentric, Inc., 2700 Homestead Road, Suite 50, Park City, UT 84098, in accordance with FAR Part 13 using the commercial item test program. The purpose of this procurement is to acquire the following Botulinum neurotoxin gene real-time PCR assays: Cbot A Singleplex Assay (30,000 Rxn) Cbot B Singleplex Assay (30,000 Rxn) Cbot C Singleplex Assay (30,000 Rxn) Cbot D Singleplex Assay (30,000 Rxn) Cbot E Singleplex Assay (30,000 Rxn) Cbot F Singleplex Assay (30,000 Rxn) These Botulinum neurotoxins Real-time PCR Assays (A-G) were designed and developed by Fluoresentric and contain proprietary pre-mixed and lyophilized oligonucleotides that are not available from another source. These validated assays are the only ones that can be used with existing protocols and platforms available to LRN member laboratories and the National Botulism Laboratory Team at CDC for the detection of Botulinum neurotoxin genes. The expected delivery date is July 15, 2015. CDC anticipates soliciting and negotiating with only one source under the authority of the test program for commercial items (Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996) in accordance with FAR 13.501(a). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The associated NACIS Code is 325413. This is not a solicitation, and proposals are not requested. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities/qualifications statement to perform the effort, in writing to Mr. Patrick Winders via email at vxx6@cdc.gov with the solicitation number (2015-N-17186) referenced in the subject line, no later than 4:00 pm Eastern Time, June 10, 2015.
