- Description
- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. 1. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall furnish all parts, material, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the work for Building 593. The work shall include the following requirements listed in the specific requirements. The contractor shall assure, IF REQUIRED, that the checklist and a DD Form 1354 are completed and submitted to USACE and Kirtland AFB Real Property office to get it staffed to the BCE for signature, at the conclusion of the project. 2. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: a.Construction-Demo 1.Contractor shall provide and install new window air conditioner / heat units as indicated on drawings. 2.Contractor shall provide and install new surface mounted conduit, junction box, duplex receptacle, rs cover plate, and all associated electrical work as indicated on drawings. 3.Contractor shall verify that all exiting electrical circuits provided for new window air conditioner / heat units have sufficient capacity, if not contractor shall provide new circuits in existing available panels. Contractor shall contact AFRL/RVOI construction manager if new sub panel is required. 4.Government provided BTU size is approximate only and contractor shall verify load for proper sized units. b.Revision delta one added scope. 1.Contractor shall remove existing ceiling grid, tiles, HVAC diffusers and lights. Contractor shall salvage tiles, lights and diffuses for reuse as indicated on sheet A-02. 2.Contactor shall provide and install new R-30 batt insulation as indicated on sheet A-02. 3.Contractor shall provide new ceiling grid and re-install existing ceiling tiles, lights and diffusers. 4.Contractor shall fill voids in between roof joist at perimeter soffit as indicated on sheet A-02.
