Description
This is an RFI for market research information purposes to identify potential, capable vendors and potential pricing to perform work as outlined in the SOW for a medical dryer unit installation. This notice is not a solicitation for quotations and the government cannot guarantee that a solicitation or RFQ will result for this work. However, following the RFI the Government currently anticipates issuing an oral solicitation for quotes. Anticipated PSC/FSC is N065 and NAICS Code is 811310 / Size Standard is $7.5M. Please review the SOW and provide: 1)A capability statement, no more than 1 page. 2)The Following entity information: Company name, POC (name, phone, email), Business Size Standard for the NAICS listed in this RFI, and DUNS#, no more than 1 page. 3)Estimated pricing for the below Statement of Work (including pricing for any required travel), no more than 1 page. Please submit only the information requested via email to laura.patterson3@va.gov. Submissions are due by 12:00 PM (Pacific Time) on 05 JUN 2015. Questions may be submitted in writing via email, but responses may not be provided since this is only a RFI. STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) 1. Contract Title. Install Zeks (Model 500HSFA408) Medical Air Dryers 2. Background. The Medical Air System provides oil free, compressed air to operate miscellaneous medical devices in the Medical Center. The Medical Air Dryers provide dew point control of the compressed air to meet NFPA requirements. 3. Scope. The scope includes removing existing Medical Air Dryer, installing new isolation valves and installing new Zeks (supplied) Medical Air Dryers. 4. Specific Tasks. Contractor shall: a.Ensure that Medical Air system cleanliness is maintained throughout the procedure b.Verify that that one Medical Air dryer is isolated, tagged and locked out. c.Remove one existing Medical Air dryer. This includes existing Electrical disconnect d.Install/stage one new Zeks (Model 500HSFA408) Air dryer. This includes new electrical disconnect (w/ fuses). e.Verify that entire Medical Air system is secured, and system in Energy Plant is tagged and locked out. f.Remove existing isolation valves (4) for both Air Dryers. Install new 2" Oxygen Clean isolation valves (4) g.Install new Oxygen Clean 2.5" unions, 2.5"-2" reducers and K Copper piping to connect staged dryer. h.Electrically hook up staged dryer. If required by the facility at this point, remove initial tagout, perform initial startup on dryer, leak check system and perform Medical Gas Certification on system. i.Remove other existing air dryer and install new dryer including electrical disconnect, unions, reducers and required piping. j.Remove existing tagout, perform initial startup on dryer, leak check system and perform Medical Gas Certification on system. k.Remove and dispose of existing air dyers and associated components. 5. Performance Monitoring (if applicable). Contractor shall provide certification on maintaining the cleanliness of the Medical Air System. 6. Security Requirements. The contractor employees shall not have access to VA sensitive or computer information and will not require routine access to VA Facilities. The contractor employees shall require intermittent access only and will be escorted by VA employees while at VA Facilities. No background investigation is required 7. Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE)/Government-Furnished Information (GFI). 1 quantity, new Zeks (Model 500HSFA408) Medical Air Dryer 8. Other Pertinent Information or Special Considerations. Inspection and Acceptance Criteria. Contractor shall provide certified documentation of Medical Air System cleanliness. 9. Risk Control Contractor shall follow universal refrigerant handling protocols 10. Place of Performance. VAMC Seattle, WA Campus 11. Period of Performance. 15 Calendar days total, to begin within 3 days from the date of award.
