- SYNOPSIS: The U.S. General Services Administration anticipates issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to provide firm fixed price construction services to renovate portions of the existing Autec Federal Building in West Palm Beach, Florida on our about the week of June 19th, 2015. The RFP will be issued on the website www.fbo.gov and will be a 100% set aside for exclusive participation of qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) only. Businesses who are not SDVOSB will not be considered. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The size standard is $36.5 million. In accordance with FAR 36.204, Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects, the Government estimates the range of this project falling between $3,000,000 and $8,000,000. The project includes interior and exterior alterations of the existing AUTEC Federal Building in West Palm Beach, Florida. This work includes the complete build-out of a new customer service center including offices, conference/training rooms, reception windows, reception waiting area, and customer restrooms. The project also includes renovation and expansion of four GSA building restroom, exterior water intrusion repairs including roofs, expansion joints and exterior fiberglass panel replacement, replacement of existing storefront windows & installation of new windows, security & accessibility upgrades, and the installation of a new Dedicated Outdoor Air Handling Unit (DOAHU). Offerors will be required to include a bid bond with their proposals and the successful offeror will be required to provide 100% payment and performance bonds within 10 days of award. Proposals will be evaluated based on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable evaluation method which will be described further in the Request for Proposals. The Government anticipates holding a single day pre-proposal conference and site visit at the Autec Federal Building in West Palm Beach, Florida the week of June 29th, 2015.
