- This Request for Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government reserves the right to determine how it should proceed as a result of this notice. Furthermore, those who respond to this RFI should not anticipate feedback with regard to its submission. The Government will not pay any cost incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the responding party's expense. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. Background: Department of Defense medical readiness planners assess the readiness posture of an item, group of items, project or program. The ability to view Services' requirements and report on the commercial sector's ability to provide materiel to meet those requirements is essential. The Readiness Management Applicati on (RMA) will be the source for accumulating disparate data to effectively determine what materiel can be used to meet the Services' requirements. The purchase of commercial sales data for all medical product lines will be an i ntegral part of RMA's success. Objective/Scope: The i ntent of this requirement is purchase comprehensive commercial sales data, collected on monthly basis over the most recent 24-month period, for all pharmaceutical and medical/surgical products in order to provi de visibility and i nsight i nto what medi cal materi el is being sold i n the commercial side of the medical healthcare industry. The i ntent is to gather all pharmaceutical and medi cal/surgi cal commercial sales data avail able. DLA is contracti ng for the licensing of both pharmaceutical sales data and medical/surgical sales data as well as supporti ng data, such as product synonym files and packaging information necessary to max i mize the usefu l ness of the commerc i al sales data. The data requ i red by DLA shall i nc l ude manufacturer names, full manufacturer catalog numbers, National Drug Codes (NDCs) for pharmaceutical s, monthly sales by product, monthly sales by product packaging configuration, and any synonyms for the commercial product (e.g. if the catalog number changed). It is the i ntent of the Government to assimilate all of the supplier's pharmaceutical and medical surgical commercial sales data i nto DLA Troop Support's suite of computer systems applications that support medical logistics readiness. The supplier will be responsible for assisting the Government in assimilating this data i nto the Government's readiness applications.
