- The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking qualified sources to perform dockside repairs of the USCGC WAESCHE (WMSL 751), a 418 foot National Security Cutter home ported at Coast Guard Island, Alameda CA. The planned period of performance will be on or about November 26, 2015 through March 2, 2016. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated for award. The information obtained from this notice is for market research only and will be used to determine the method of procurement including whether to set-aside the procurement for small business or other set-aside programs. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 336611 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: The Cutter's home port on Coast Guard Island, Alameda CA. GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTION - None Sampling of work to be performed: (1) Tanks (MP Fuel Storage and Overflow), Clean and Inspect; (2) Fixed CO2, FM 200 and Ansul R-102 Systems Annual Certification; (3) Water Mist System, Annual Inspection: (4) Sewage Holding Tanks, Clean and Inspect: (5) Flight Deck Net, Weight)Testing; (6) MPDE Exhaust Piping Insulation; (7) Insulation, Bulkhead/Overhead; (8)Insulation, Bulkhead, Renew.; (9) Piping Insulation, Renew; (10) Temporary Services, Dockside, Home Pier; (11) Deck Covering (Polymeric), Replace; (12) Shower and Toilet Deck, Replace; (13) Deck Covering (Polymeric), Renew; (14) General Welding, Provide-Optional; (15) Tanks (Water Mist), Preserve "100%"-Optional; (16) Tanks (Water Mist), Preserve "Partial"-Optional; (17) Sewage Holding Tanks, Preserve "100%"-Optional; (18) Sewage Holding Tanks, Preserve "Partial"-Optional. Interested parties must submit the following: (a) Company name, business size status (i.e., small, large, 8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.) (b) Capability to perform work similar to the above work items. (c) Past performance information to demonstrate successful completion as a prime contractor of projects similar in scope and complexity to the work items above.
