- Sources Sought The United States Air Force, 375th Contracting Squadron (375 CONS) is seeking sources for disassembling, sandblasting, paint and reassemble A/M32A-86D Generators for the Air Ground Equipment shop on Scott AFB, Illinois. DISCLAIMER: This sources sought notice is issued for information and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals nor will any award be made as a result of this sources sought notice. The Air Force will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this sources sought notice. INTRODUCTION: This FedBizOpps notice is an announcement seeking market information on businesses capable of providing the equipment as described herein. 375 CONS is currently conducting market research to determine qualified, and interested potential sources. The information requested by this sources sought notice will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. Should a future requirement(s) evolve from this preliminary planning process, it is anticipated that the contractor will provide the equipment required to accomplish all capabilities listed in the description of requirements shown below. The contractor will provide disassembly, sandblasting, and reassembly of generators. 1. Description of Item: a. Three (3) A/M32A-86D Generators for the Air Ground Equipment shop. i. With these required objectives: - Pick-up equipment from AGE shop on Scott AFB, IL - Disassembled, sandblasted, sanded, rust treated, and primer coat prior to painting. - Remove all corrosion prior to primer. - Scuff sand prior to top coat - Areas to paint: interior & exterior surfaces to include axels, tow bars, tire rims, instrument panel, and door interiors. Units must have one (1) coat of primer and two (2) top coats. - Cover gauges, switches, engines, and electrical components to protect from overspray. - Contractor will disassemble prior to and reassemble after painting. - 375 OSS will provide primer and top coat paints. i. Primer MIL-P-53022 Type 1 or MIL-PRF-23377 Type 1 Class C. (Provided by Government) ii. Paint SE Gray-PRF-85285 Type 1 (Provided by Government) - Contractor must account for materials received from the Government. - Government inspector will be on hand for first article painted and will inspect prior to acceptance. - Contractor is responsible for all state and federal EPA, OSHA, and environmental regulations. - Contractor must be registered in SAM (System for Award Management) SAM b. The equipment will be picked up and delivered at: 375 OSS/AGE Shop 351 Hangar Road Building 450 Scott AFB, IL 62225 2. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code: The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is: 332813 Electroplating, Plating, Polishing, Anodizing, and Coloring Product Service Code: J017 3. Demonstrate abilities to fulfill this requirement and any other information deemed useful to the Air Force. 4.
