Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This contract has three Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs). CLIN # 1 is the replacement old wood poles of an Area Lighting System (ALS) with new steel or concrete poles and the transfer and reconnection of the light fixtures, by reuse of undamaged from the existing ALS and new replacement light fixtures for those damaged and new pole mounted connection and light fixture breakers panels and new 2.5 mm2 cabling between pole panels and light fixtures. The CLIN # 2 is the purchase of all new materials need for CLIN # 1. CLIN # 3 is for the Israel Value Added Tax (VAT). Accomplishment of CLINs will be performed while keeping the as much of the existing ALS functional and with having limited effect on the normal site operations. The concept is to place a new pole as close to the old wood poles, which are to be replaced, as possible given site conditions and then connect in the new pole to the same location in the ALS network as the wood pole being replaced. During the connection of the steel pole to the ALS it is acceptable to remove the wood pole from the ALS. Allowing the use of the existing power conductors of the old wood pole APS to be used in the connection of the new pole. Once the new steel pole is connected, then the wood pole can be removed and disposed of. The only underground ground cabling work required is if the contractor damages existing underground network or other cabling. Installation is to be complete within 30 days of execution. If additional time is need due to concrete curing it will be annotated in contractor proposal. The contractor will have a fluent English speaker on site, but may have a limited level English speaker on site if a fluent English speaker is available by phone during this project. See SOW for further details.
