Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Rocket Software, Inc., 77 4TH AVE, Waltham, MA, 02451 for unlimited licensing and maintenance of Rocket DASD Backup Supervisor, Rocket Disaster Recovery, and Rocket Aldon software manufactured by Rocket Software. The authority for this acquisition is set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.500, "Test Program for Certain Commercial Items". The acquisition will be a sole source as described at FAR 13.501(a). Rocket Software, Inc. is the only source known to the Government that sells unlimited licensing and maintenance of the Rocket software products. The Government anticipates award of a single, firm-fixed price contract for a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. This is not a request for quotation, and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions and submissions in response to this notice must be submitted in writing by 12:00 pm, EST June 4, 2015 to Rick.Bolt@ssa.gov. Telephone calls regarding this matter will neither be accepted nor returned.
