Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Department of Veterans' Affairs, James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital (JAHVH) located in Tampa, FL intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source requirements contract with GenMark. James A Haley requires a multiplex sequencing system capable of supporting an increase of patient volume and test results. The capability will allow Pathologist to evaluate and diagnose patients at time of admission to James A Haley hospital. Currently GenMark is providing the products/services to the hospital. Due to an increase of patients requiring HCV testing, contract#VA248-13-C-0300, CLIN#1002 must be increased to support the need of the Government. This contract was solicited full and open competition under solicitation number#VA248-13-Q-3140 posted on FedBid on 9/20/2013, two response received. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6. 302-1. interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all information received by 10: 00 a.m. EST, 05/29/2015, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. NAICS the NAICS code assigned is 334516 Cost Per Test, Clinical, Laboratory; and the small business size standard are 500 employees. No solicitation document is available.
