Sources Sought: This is a sources sought announcement only. This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of current market capabilities in relation to NAICS Code 621112, Office of Physicians, Mental Health Specialist, Size Standard $11.0 Million. Network Contracting Office 23 (NCO 23) in Minneapolis has a requirement for two (2) board certified psychiatrists at the VA Black Hills Health Care System, located in Fort Meade, SD and Hot Springs, SD. These services can be provided via face to face or VTEL (Video Teleconferencing). The contract provider (s) care shall cover: Provides psychiatric evaluations via face to face and/or VTEL "Provides medication evaluations via face to face and/or VTEL "Provides psychiatric treatment via face to face and/or VTEL "Reviews nurse practitioner medical records (every six (6) months) for QA purposes "Completes physician verification of nurse practitioner controlled substances prescriptions per VA BHHCS policy and procedure "Provides coverage of treatment team meetings "Facilitates transfers to other mental health inpatient facilities "Provides collaboration/consultation as needed "Completes Compensation and Pension Exams as directed "Completes medical record documentation utilizing the VA CPRS (electronic medical record) process "Remains up to date with the latest treatments and procedures via continuing medical education "Provides age-specific care for young adult (18-40 years), middle adult (41-44 years), adult (45-65 years), and older adult (65-74 years) and geriatric (over 75 years) patients The preference is for two (2) psychiatrists committed to the entire contract period.
