- STOL-LM015708-RC - SOURCES SOUGHT - GROUNDWATER TREATMENT FACILITY DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION SOURCES SOUGHT GROUNDWATER TREATMENT FACILITY DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION Stoller Newport News Nuclear (SN3), a contractor to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is seeking a subcontractor to Design and construct a treatment facility that can successfully treat water contaminated with nitrate and uranium. The Project location is at the Department of Energy, Office of Legacy Management Rocky Flats Site, Colorado. It is approximately 18 miles northwest of downtown Denver, Colorado. The Site is a former nuclear weapons production site. DOE closed, dismantled, and returned the Site to a near-natural state. The post-closure requirements to implement the final response action at the site are presented in the Rocky Flats Legacy management Agreement (RFLMA) between DOE, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment RFLMA and detailed information about the cleanup and closure of the site are available on the DOE website at http://www.lm.doe.gov/rocky_flats /Sites.aspx. The attached summary provides information on the setting and applicable parameters, and then lists more specific requirements and constraints.
