- VISN 3 MEDICAL GASES This establishes an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract for medical cylinder gasses utilized at the VA New Jersey Healthcare System, VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System, James J. Peters (formerly Bronx) VA Medical Center, Northport VA Medical Center, and the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System of the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 3. The gasses to be purchased include, but are not limited to compressed Medical Air USP, Oxygen USP, Carbon Dioxide USP, Nitrogen NF, Nitrous Oxide USP, Helium USP, Liquid Oxygen, and specialty medical gas mixtures. The contract items will be ordered by and delivered to the individual activities listed above. There is no express or implied guarantee that the quantities listed in this solicitation will be purchased, and the quantities shown in the attached schedule (spreadsheet) are estimates of each facility's annual requirements. The schedule indicates whether the contractor will fill government owned (G) cylinders, will provide contractor owned (C) cylinders, or will be servicing the facility with a combination of both (C/G). Maintenance shall be provided for all containers, whether government or contract owned at charges as established in this contract. The contract awarded under this solicitation will be in effect from Date of Award through September 30, 2015 plus four (4) one-year option periods. Exercise of option is at the sole discretion of the government. The COR is responsible for local contract administration issues such as ordering and providing specific delivery instructions. Within 15 days after contract award, the contractor shall contact the COR to finalize the ordering method and clarify the specific details of any delivery instructions that are included in the solicitation schedule. If agreement cannot be reached between the contractor and the COR regarding any issue, the matter shall be referenced to the Contracting Officer for resolution.
