Description

UNUSUAL AND COMPELLING URGENCY Award to Law Tanning of Milwaukee, WI in the amount of $1,084,000 for Leather, Cowhide, Pearl Gray to support the Forest Worker Glove Program at FPI/UNICOR factory at FCI Sandstone, MN. Effective 05/01/2015 thru 04/30/2016. 1 year contract term. 33,300 square feet per mo. of leather needed to perform against a DLA contract for gloves. Cowhide Leather must meet Berry Amendment - USA only hides & tanning/dyeing in USA only. Only Law Tanning could perform this urgent requirement to meet June thru August 2015 finished goods delivery schedule. Leather needed urgently to avoid a production stoppage. Justification for Other than Full & Open Competition Authority cited: FAR 6.302-2 and USC 2304(c)(2)
