Kingsbridge Road Rm. 9b64 Bronx NY 10468 Synopsis: Please note that this is not a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, New Jersey VA Medical Center, is conducting a market survey for qualified for providing the following item for the New Jersey VAMC Centers. The unit must be a thawing system that uses controlled temperature and agitation providing for rapid thaw times. The unit must have dual baskets with independent controls to accommodate a variety of bag configurations. It must have the capability to thaw up to 8 units of frozen plasma at a time. The dividers can be removed for thawing oversized units (wider than 6 inches). The thawer must have overwrap protection using overwrap bags to protect plasma during thawing. The unit must provide the capability to load and unload plasma without waiting for the water to be added and drained. The baskets agitate the units in 36.5 degree C water for optimal heat transfer. The baskets will automatically lift plasma bags out of the water when a cycle is complete and for added safety, the baskets also lift out upon high alarm activation. The plasma thawing system must have a microprocessor temperature controller with audible and visual high temperature alarm. Chamber temperature is programmable in 0.1 degree C increments. The display must be LED with chamber temperature and remaining cycle time. It must be constructed of a polished stainless steel tank and baskets with a bacteria-resistant powder coated exterior. The unit must have a large tank opening and quick connect drain system for easy cleanup. The plasma thawing system must be a compact size to conserve space: Dimensions Exterior - 18.5"w x 16.25"h x 22"d; Interior capacity - 8.5 gal; Electrical 115V 60 Hz 10A. Warranty shall be 2 years parts, 1 year labor at manufacturer at a minimum. Optional chamber cover, translucent, smoke-colored available to reduce water evaporation and promote cleanliness when unit not in use. A digital thermometer, solar-powered, stainless steel probe to immerse in the water in the tank and the display shows the temperature in increments of 0.1 degree C. Warranty shall be 1 year parts, I year labor at manufacturer at a minimum. Two sets of Operator's and Service manuals will be provided at No Charge. All equipment shall be delivered FOB DESTINATION. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 339112. Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing via email and must be received no later than May 19, 2015. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources for this procurement relative to NAICS 339112. Qualified offerors shall be experienced in addition to providers (sellers) capable of supporting this facility. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to (a capabilities statement), DUNS number, address, point of contact. If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registry (CCR) (see internet site: http://www.ccr.gov).
