Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Your response to this Sources Sought Notice will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the Department of Veterans Affairs in developing its acquisition approach, statement of work/statement of objectives and performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought Notice or to otherwise pay for the information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify Contractor that can provide all necessary parts, labor, and transportation required to repair and maintain the Government-owned Biomerieux Mini Vidas System listed: Biomerieux Coagulation Analyzer, Model: Mini Vidas, EE# 93682, SN: IVD1203622. The Biomerieux Coagulation Analyze is located at VA Long Beach Healthcare System, located 5901 East Seventh Street, Long Beach, CA 90822. The contractor shall provide the following services: a.Telephone Technical Support: Telephone assistance will be provided 24/7, 365 days a year. b.Parts: The contractor will supply, at its own expense, necessary factory-certified equipment manufactured parts, provided that replacement of the parts is required because of normal wear and tear, or outright failure or as otherwise deemed necessary by the contractor. "Hardware and software upgrades will be scheduled and performed during normal working hours, at no additional charge to the VA. These upgrades are those required for the correct function of the system; not those purchased to enhance function. c.Labor: The contractor will provide all labor associated with the repair of the equipment covered under the contract agreement. Inadequate or improper repairs performed by the contractor will be correctly repaired at a time convenient to the VA at no additional expense to the VA. There will be no limitation to the number of labor hours provided within the stipulated timeframes of contract coverage. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The following is the NAICS 811219, Size Standard $19 million. All vendors who are interested must have an active Cage Code Number, and registered in ORCA (Representations and Certifications). Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should be able to demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to deliver the components listed bove. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, business size and Socioeconomic Category (HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business, Large Business, etc.), and point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number. All information is to be submitted via e-mail at brian.vanorman@va.gov. All information submissions to be marked Attn: Brian Van Orman and should be received no later than 3:00 pm Pacifica Coast Time on May 11, 2015.
