Description

The James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Altoona, Pennsylvania has a future requirement for the provision of medical officer of the day services to be provided at the medical center's Emergency Room located at 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, PA. Specifically services required include the provision of board eligible or certified physicians in internal medicine, family practice, and/or emergency medicine to staff the medical center's Emergency Room after normal business hours Monday through Friday 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., Federal Holidays (24 hours), and weekends (24 hours per day). Additionally, the requirement includes the provision of hospitalist services to round on patients residing in the medical center's Acute Care, ICU, and Telemetry units on weekends and holidays for approximately four hours in the morning each day. The medical center's Acute Care, ICU, and Telemetry Units are also located at 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, Pennsylvania. The medical center does not have staff to provide the required services, potential Contractors will be required to provide qualified physicians to provide all services during the times noted above. This Sources Sought is being issued for VA planning purposes only. Those vendors who are interested in this future procurement are asked to send a response to this notice to the Contract Specialist expressing their interest. Their response to this notice should include the following information: "Contractor's Name "Contractor's DUNs number(Dunn and Bradstreet) "Contractor's Point of Contact "Point of Contact Email Address "Point of Contract Phone Number "Size of Business "Socioeconomic Category/Designation (i.e.; Woman Owned Small Business, Hub Zone, Veteran Owned Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, etc.) Note: All interested Contractors shall be required to be registered in SAM(System for Award Management) in or to do business with the Government as all invoicing takes place via EFT. Please refer to SAM.gov. on how to register. Please provide your response to the following questions. Note: All information will be kept confidential and will be used by VA for planning purposes. 1.As a prime or subcontractor have you provided same or similar services? 2.If you have provided same or similar services, where did you provide the services and what was the timeframe of performance? 3.What is the typical profit and overhead percentage used by your company when developing pricing? Information provided will be utilized by the Contract Specialist to determine the best procurement method and set aside for this requirement.
