Description

FDA-SS-1146067: Sources Sought Notice, PDF. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Center The Southeast Regional Laboratory (SRL) needs to purchase a cigarette physical testing machine for the purpose of supporting new tobacco product submissions at Center for Tobacco Products. The requested instrument shall be a compact, rack mounted modular device that performs several physical parameter measurements in an automatic unattended fashion. These physical parameters will be used to describe a tobacco product and can be used to correlate product design features to regulatory tests results. The manual measurement of these parameters is tedious, very time consuming and subject to human error. Without this purchase, SRL will not be able to provide the regulatory support needed at the Center for Tobacco Products for new tobacco product submissions.
