- This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a a request for proposal and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposal, nor will any award be made as a result. The Navy will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice. Any future solicitation will be made available only on the Federa Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov/). Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring the aforementioned website for release of a solicitation package. The information requested will assist the Government in determing the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a large business, small business social-economic set-aside, competitive method is possible, and to determine the availability of all qualified companies technically capable of meething the Government's requirement. NORTH AMERICAN CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE The NAICS code applicable to this requirement is 238990 - - Heavy Trade Contractors with associated small business size standard of $14 million. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall provide refurbishment of the flag,Commanding Officer, and Executive Officer, Wardrooms, Chief Petty Officer's Mess, Chapel, Museum and sundry others known as the "High Visibility" compartment that house/host VIP and other designated officials. The requirements are based on the "Triple F" concept of Fit, Form, and Function of each compartment identified as high Visibility. The contractor must be capable of promptly executing this task to meet mandatory Huntington Ingles Newport News overhaul production schedules and to support Navy operational readiness requirements. The contractor shall provide program management and material procurement, receipt and damage inspection, kitting, transportation, design rendering drawings, and final installation services on board the CVN 72. The contractor must have extensive, recent experience, within the past five years, outfitting a U.S. Navy Aircart Carrier. Status reports will be prepared monthly describing all material procurement. POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE: 1) Company Name, address, phone number, primary contact(s). e-mail address, NACIS code (s), business size (i.e., Small/Large) and DUNS Number. 2) Provide a Statement of Capability that demonstrates the offeror's past performance in providing this type of service. Please include the following: (a) staff expertise including their availability, experience, and formal and other training: (b) current in-house capability and capacity to perform the work; (c) prior completed project of similar nature; (d) corporate experience and management capability; and (e) examples of prior completed Government contracts, references, andother related information. NO CAPABILITY STATEMENTS MAY BE SUBMITTED AFTER MAY 1, 2015. 3) Disclaimer and Important Notes: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation may be published in Federal Business Opportunities. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation. Confidentiality.
